Overview

TeamBuilder

TeamBuilder identified a critical gap in healthcare workforce management. Many providers rely on outdated systems, manual processes, spreadsheets, and disconnected tools that fail to scale with changing patient demand.

They needed a centralized scheduling platform tailored to ambulatory care, with data science predicting staffing needs and adaptive shift coordination across roles and locations.

The Challenge

What we needed to solve.

TeamBuilder needed to build a centralized scheduling platform tailored to ambulatory care, use data science to predict staffing needs, support adaptive shift coordination across roles and locations, and provide visibility for administrators, clinicians, and executives.

Most critically, they needed to launch fast enough to pilot with a major healthcare system in New York.

The engagement required solving several complex challenges simultaneously: designing and building a platform from scratch, developing a scheduling engine backed by predictive algorithms, integrating with legacy systems, balancing multiple user workflows, and meeting an aggressive deadline.

We run a performance-driven business, and they matched that mindset. Schedules were tight, specs were evolving, and they stayed flexible without losing discipline. The work they delivered fits cleanly into our product and helps us serve customers better.

The Solution

What we built.

We embedded as a full-service product and engineering team, beginning with a collaborative design sprint to define workflows, requirements, and data needs.

From there we moved into structured two-week development sprints for rapid, iterative progress — with a flexible 3–6 person squad covering UX, graphic design, frontend, backend, and DevOps.

Authentication & Access Control

Role-based authentication and clinician identity logic ensuring appropriate user access.

Dynamic Scheduling Engine

Shift plans generated from role, availability, and forecasted demand — the core of the product's value proposition.

Scalable Architecture

Foundation ready for data-science tool integration and predictive modeling as the product matures.
