What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember things about your visit, like your preferences or whether you're signed in.

How we use cookies

We use a small number of cookies that fall into two categories: strictly-necessary cookies that the site needs to function (e.g. our admin session cookie), and analytics cookies that help us understand which content is most useful to visitors.

Strictly-necessary cookies

These cannot be disabled because the site won't work without them. The only strictly-necessary cookie we set is `payload-token`, used for signed-in sessions in our content management system. It is only set for staff who sign in, is HttpOnly, and expires after 8 hours.

Analytics cookies

We use three analytics tools to count visits and understand which pages are useful. Google Analytics 4 sets the `_ga` and `_ga_<ID>` cookies to measure page views, traffic sources, approximate location, and device type. If we enable Google Tag Manager, it only loads these analytics tags. PostHog stores an identifier in a `ph_<project>_posthog` cookie and in local storage to measure page views and interactions, record JavaScript errors, and count contact form submissions by budget range, service, and referral source. Ahrefs Web Analytics measures traffic without setting cookies. We use this data to improve the site, not to build advertising profiles, and we run no advertising pixels. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Your choices

You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will sign you out of any active admin session. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect site functionality.
