Codieshub

Manufacturing Software Development Company

Run Smarter Production Lines with AI

Industrial data platforms, computer-vision QA, and predictive-maintenance ML for production lines, connecting OT data to cloud-native analytics and decision support.

What does manufacturing software development involve?

Manufacturing software development connects the floor to the business: ERP, MES and WMS integrations, OPC-UA and REST bridges to PLC and SCADA layers, and real-time dashboards for OEE, scrap rates and shift output. Codieshub interviews plant managers and quality leads before coding and builds on existing infrastructure instead of replacing it.

How we build Manufacturing software

Manufacturing companies face a technology paradox: legacy systems keep the floor running but block the operational visibility, integration, and automation that modern competitive margins demand. Whether you run discrete, process, or mixed-mode manufacturing, the gap between your ERP, MES, WMS, and floor-level PLCs is where margin leaks and delivery delays hide.

Codieshub has built production-critical software for manufacturers since 2012: from IoT-connected quality inspection tools to custom MES dashboards that give plant managers real-time OEE, scrap rates, and shift output without ripping out existing infrastructure. Our senior engineers work hours that overlap your US or UK day, which means your team has a real-time partner for the rapid iteration that shop-floor software demands.

We are not a generalist shop that picked up manufacturing as a vertical. Our engagements typically involve deep integration with Epicor, SAP, and custom SQL-based ERP stacks, REST and OPC-UA bridges to PLC and SCADA layers, and dashboards that operators actually use because they were built with operators in the room.

The challenge

Most manufacturing software projects fail not because of bad code but because the team building it has never seen a production floor. Unrealistic data models, polling intervals that overwhelm PLCs, and UX designed for office workers rather than gloved hands at a workstation are the most common culprits. The result is shelf-ware that cost seven figures and never got past pilot.

Our approach

Codieshub embeds domain discovery early. We interview plant managers, floor supervisors, and quality leads before writing a line of code. We map data flows from sensor to report, identify the three or four decisions the software must support, and build iteratively so every sprint produces something runnable on the floor. Our engineers' hours overlap your US or UK day, so blockers get cleared the same day, not twenty-four hours later.

The outcome

Clients leave engagements with production-ready software their teams actually adopt: real-time OEE dashboards, automated quality exception workflows, ERP integration that eliminates double-entry, and a codebase they own. The goal in every engagement is to replace manual data-entry and paper-based processes with reliable automated flows, and to give leadership the demand-signal clarity to tighten production scheduling.

Questions

Frequently asked, honestly answered.

The questions we get on every intro call, answered without the marketing gloss.

  1. Scope varies significantly, but most manufacturing software engagements fall into one of three buckets. A focused integration project (for example, connecting an ERP to a custom dashboard) typically runs eight to fourteen weeks depending on the ERP's API maturity and data complexity, and we quote it after discovery. A full custom MES or quality management module is a Production Application build at $60K to $200K over 3 to 5 months, and multi-module programs move into our Enterprise range of $200K+ over 6 to 12 months. Larger programs with multiple plant rollouts are scoped per site. We provide a fixed-scope estimate after a two-week discovery sprint so you have real numbers before committing to a build.
