Investment List set out to create more than an investment directory — a unified platform letting investors manage portfolios and track returns while giving startups a streamlined way to apply for funding.
We partnered on discovery, design system, MVP build, and full-stack engineering.
The client needed a unified platform enabling investors to manage portfolios, track returns, and explore verified opportunities, while giving startups a streamlined way to apply for funding and monitor progress.
Key requirements included a modern investor dashboard, a startup onboarding and application workflow, and an extensible design system for future admin and analytics modules.
The primary difficulty was balancing data-heavy content with an intuitive, clean experience that wouldn't overwhelm new users across three distinct personas with different goals.
We began with requirements gathering and journey mapping in FigJam, defining three personas with distinct objectives, then produced user flows for onboarding, browsing, and investment management alongside scalable information architecture.
A custom design system was built in Figma from scratch: neutral trust-forward palette, modular UI components adaptable across web and mobile, and data-visualization patterns for investment metrics.
